Thread on how to make these stands on www.huntingnet.com
Note: I make no warranty or accept no liability on these tree stands or the steps. Use this "system" at your own risk, use your own wisdom in modification of these plans for your use. Your mileage/safety will vary. If your 350 or 400 lbs obviously your going to have to use 1/2" rope for the steps and 3 pieces of plywood joined together for the stand itself, also two pieces of plywood taped to each step. USE AT YOU OWN RISK. Always use a safety belt, always make your first step short and visible from the tree stand. Use more steps, not fewer, remember when your cold a long step with stiff muscles, cold, rainy or worse yet freezing rain and you will have issues getting into or out of the Y-board stand using rope steps. The steps freeze and have a coat of ice on them. Do on hunt on freezing rain days in these stands, stay on the ground. Use sound judgment. Snow, no problem, you can scrape the snow off the steps and the Y-board and be fine. If you want to make it more quiet, tack a piece of carpet on top of the Y-Board. Good Hunting.
