Shots with a Hornady SST 300g, AA 5744 44g weighed, 92.5 yards

Shots with TC Shockwave, AA 5744 44g weighed, Federal Primer, no swabing, 92.5 yards

Barnes TMZ 290g, AA 5744 44g weighed, Federal Primer, now swabing, 92.5 yards, 6/15/07

Knight Ultimate Slam (made by Barnes) 6/15/07 same powder, charge and primer as above

Harvester Scorpion PT Gold 300g 7/21/07 same powder, chage and primer as above

Parker Ballistic Extreme 275g 7/21/07 same powder, charge as above, but Winchester primer, hard to get out

Shooting 9/3/07 Winchester Primer 44g 5744:  TC ShockWave 300g Bonded Parker Ballistic Extreme 275g Barnes TMZ 290g TC SW Unbonded 300g

I chose the Parker Ballistic Extrement because I read fragmentation problems with the 250 SW and the bonded SW shot thru without expansion.  After I choose the PBE, I saw this on another forum.  In my opinion, the PBE was the right choice.  The URL to the article is here:

Shooting 3/1/08, Barnes Originals 300g, 44g of AA 5744, Federal 209a primer.  Different sabots.

Shooting 3/29/08, Barnes Originals 300g, 64, 65, 66g of IMR4198, Federal 209a primer, Crushed Rib Sabot.  Also shot the Barnes Flat Nose, part number #45843, huge hollow point, also included in the a PDF, great 2" group with 5744 and CR Sabot.

Shooting 4/26/08 300g Barnes Originals, 66.5, 67, 68 and 69g of IMR4198, Black Crushed Rib Sabot, Federal Primer.

This is a discussion of the Barnes Originals on shoot thru and expansion on approximately 30 deer.
